The eyes of the world will be focused on the main event of the weekend - the ING Miami Marathon®. Friends, family and curious spectators will line up along the 26.2 miles of roadways filled with inspiring sights and sounds to cheer on the many that chose to RUN MIAMI!

  • 6:05 a.m. (EST) wheelchair participants 
  • 6:15 a.m. (EST) marathon participants
All participants need to be in the runner corrals no later than 5:55 a.m. Corrals will close at that time. Participants are asked to adhere to 'courtesy corralling.' Start corrals will not be labeled with bib numbers this year, instead with corresponding letter & color; please

find your appropriate corral.

Rock the Rigatoni!


The Hard Rock Café Miami, located in Bayfront Marketplace (401 Biscayne Blvd.) between the start and finish areas, will be hosting pre race dinners on Friday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 24th, featuring a special carb heavy menu designed specifically for the ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon. Seatings are available at 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm, and 8:00 pm. Limited to 150 people per seating. Reserve your spot ahead of time as only those people pre-registered will be guaranteed immediate seating at your time slot. The special menu will also be made available to walk up participants, please be prepared to identify yourself with you registration confirmation or bib number.

ING Miami Marathon® Medals & Awards:

ALL finishers will receive the most unique finisher's medal ever designed for runners.

Please note: To our knowledge, the ING Miami Marathon® was the first race in the world to have a spinning medal. It is now the first to have a double spinner. The spinning medal idea originated at our race in 2004.

All runners will also receive an Official Finisher's Certificate showing their Official Finishing Time and Place.

*Please note that all age group awards are based on ChampionChip time, NOT gun time. However, course records and prize money will be determined according to gun time.

Awards

If you are not present to receive your award during the awards ceremony, shipping and handling charges will apply if you request award to be mailed. We ask that you pick-up your award at the awards ceremony to avoid having to send via mail.

Custom designed Miami-Style medals will be awarded 5 deep in each division.

ING Marathon Timing and Scoring:

  • The ING Miami Marathon uses the NEW ChronoTrack D-Tag timing system. Supplied and administered by Splitsecondtiming.com.
  • All participants will receive a ChronoTrack D-Tag attached to their bib number when they pick up their packet at the Health & Fitness Expo presented by The Miami Herald/El Nuevo Herald.
  • The ChronoTrack D-Tag can be disposed of after the race and does not need to be returned.
  • Participants MUST wear their ChronoTrack D-Tag. NO tag, NO time.
  • ChronoTrack D-Tag mats will be placed at the start line, 10K, 13.1 Mile, 30K mark and finish line. 
  • Tags for the ING Marathon and ING Half Marathon® will NOT work for the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida Tropical 5K Benefiting Community Partnership for Homeless.
